Tuesday 10th June Sam's Birthday

The "Birthday boy" in his Kungfu PJs at the back of the boat with the town of Sami in the background, I serenaded him with a rendition of happy birthday when he woke up.

Whilst Sam went to sort out the Port Police I took the opportunity to have a quick strum in the sun.

We set sail from Sami or should I say motored over to Eufamia the other side of the bay as there was no wind. However, on the way over we came across a small pod of Dolphins at least six in all mainly adults but some young ones as well fishing. They came to within a metre or two of the boat and we just watched them chasing fish all around us for about five minutes. They were so close you could hear them blow and see their eyes and the white stripes along their sides, fantastic.

We stopped off twice for swim as it got above 36 degrees at times, a hard life this sailing. We had both gone skinny dipping in a cove where Viv, Gareth and I had camped a couple of years ago only to find when away from the boat a couple of little hire craft pulled into the bay, typical.

We visited the bay where Captain Correlli was filmed but the little pier featured in the film had fallen into disrepair and looks a sorry sight now.

Look at this pair of well dressed English Men out on the town celebrating Sam's Birthday, I had to lend him a shirt so he would look the part. It worked as we got chatting to two couples from Slovinia who gave Sam a bottle of local Slovinian wine as a birthday present.

The rather chilled Birthday Boy after a few beers!
